Downloading Facebook reels
Reels are the short vertical videos, and Facebook doesn't put a save button on them. This page does the same job as the main downloader, with the steps written for reels.

Getting the link on a phone
The share arrow is the reliable way — a link copied from somewhere else sometimes arrives incomplete:
- Play the reel in the Facebook app.

Why reels sometimes fail to load
Three things account for nearly all of it. The reel was deleted or hidden after you copied the link. The account is private, so nothing outside Facebook can see it. Or the link is a partial one copied from a chat message. Copying it again from the share button fixes the last of those.
The quality you get

Frequently asked questions
How do I copy a reel link?
Open the reel, tap the share arrow, then Copy link. If you're watching on a computer, the address in the address bar while the reel is playing works just as well.
Will the reel have a watermark?
No. Facebook doesn't add a logo to reels, so the file you get is the original one. If a reel was first made in another app and the creator left that app's logo in the picture, that part is inside the video itself and can't be taken out by any downloader.
Can I save a reel with the sound?
Yes. The file includes the audio exactly as it plays on Facebook.
Why does my reel link not work?
Most often the reel was taken down or set to private, or only part of the link got copied. Copy it again with the share button and retry.
Can I download reels from a private account?
No. Only public reels can be saved.
Is there a limit on reels per day?
No. There's no counter and no charge.
Does this work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, both, in the normal browser. On iPhone the file goes to Files first and you move it into Photos; on Android it goes straight to Downloads.
Can I repost a reel I downloaded?
That's between you and whoever made it. Saving it for yourself is one thing; reposting someone's work as your own is another, and we can't give you permission for that.
